2.4 Endangering by Moving Parts
When lowering the linear drive where the cutting headis mounted to there is a risk of injuries and damage toproperty.
Never put hands or other parts of the body under thecutting head. When performing repair and mainte-nance work the supply voltage has to be disconnected.
2.8 Symbols
The following symbols are used in this documentation:
This symbol means there is an immediaterisk to life or health.
Not to observe these advices may causeheavy health damaging results, up to highlydangerous injuries.
2.5 Protection against Electric Shock
The cutting head is operated with low voltages (PELV:Protective Extra Low Voltage).
For functional reasons, parts like the nozzle body, sen-sor body, sensor inserts, nozzle electrodes and ringelectrodes as well as the accompanying mountingparts like union nuts etc. can not all be protected by asafety conductor potential. There is the possibility oflow voltage on these parts.
Observe during the installation that the electrical equip-ment intends the protection of persons against electricshock. The regulations of EN 60204-1, especially ofparagraph 6 Protection against electric shockand sub-paragraph 6.4 Protection by PELV (Protective ExtraLow Voltage)have to be complied with. Use a safetyisolating transformer according to EN 60742.
This symbol means there is a potential risk.Ignoring this caution may lead to injury and/or damage to equipment.
This symbol shows how to handle parts andcomponents correctly.
Ignoring this information may lead to faults.
2.6 Earth
Make sure the equipment is correctly earthed. The la-belled ground connection must be connected to theprotective earth (PE).
2.7 Noise
The noise level can exceed 85 dB, if higher cutting gaspressures are used.
To prevent an endangering of persons by noise, corre-sponding measures have to be provided and pointedout by the manufacturer.
