If arranged right, the sit modelled into the ring shouldrest on top of the lens.
Insert nut and screw it tight with the mounting tool.Don’t tighten the nut too much in order not tobreake the lens!
Fig. 4.5: Mounting tool for lensholder (WH1080)
In zero position of the height adjustment, thezero marking line at the mounting tool alig-nes to the edge of the connector head. Nowthe position of the focus should be 1 mmbelow the tip of the nozzle. Differences arecaused by tolerances of the focal length andtolerances of the parts.
Mounting and adjusting of the lensholder
Changing the focal position
Unscrew union nut at the connector head. Place lensholder at the connector head Screw it in by hand.
The width of the rings is 1 mm.
Place mounting tool on the holes of the lens hol-der and screw it in.
Orientation of the mounting tool:
The marking rings pointing to the lens holder. Control zero position.
In zero position of the axial adjusting possibility, the topedge of the lens holder is positioned 10.1 mm under-neath the edge of the connector head (Fig. 4.4).
Adjusting distance: - 4…+ 5 mm (positive direction:opposit to the workpiece).
Focusing lenses are typically manufacturedwith a tolerance of max. ±2 % (manufactur-er´s instruction) of the nominal focal length. That´s how the adjusting travel can be limit-ed. Therefore the focal position may varyfrom lens to lens. This has to be taken intoaccount during the adjustment process.
Screwing the lens holder in and out causes an adjust-ment of the focal position in axial direction. The adju-sting distance can be told by the mounting tool.
