Operators must comply with the requirements speci-fied by the manufacturer and supplier of the laserequipment.
Personnel must be trained in accordance with the spe-cifications and safety requirements of the system ma-nufacturer and supplier and must be made familiar withthe possible risks.
The prescribed protective equipment must be used.

2.2 Radiation Hazard
The unit itself emits no laser radiation. However, laserradiation from the laser system is conducted throughthe unit. The laser system must be switched off beforeinstallation or maintenance work is carried out.During setting-up operation, the laser system in whichthe unit is installed may operate in hazard class 4.- Avoid subjecting the eyes or skin to direct or scat-tered radiation.
- Do not look at the laser beam, not even throughoptical instruments.
- Wear laser goggles that comply with DIN EN 207and VBG 93.
If it is reasonable to assume that safe operation is nolonger possible, the unit or the system must be shutdown. Make sure the unit or system is protectedagainst unintentional use.

2 Safety Instructions
2.1 Obligations on the Part of Operators
and Personnel
Read this document carefully.
Operators of the laser installation are obliged to allowpersons to operate the machine only if:
- they are familiar with basic requirements relatingto work safety and accident prevention and havebeen instructed on how to operate the machine,and
2.3 Endangering by Explosion
Cutting heads are designed to operate under gas pres-sure. The specified maximum pressure must not beexceeded at any stage. To avoid risk to personnel, thecutting heads must be kept in perfect condition at alltimes. All parts must be free of damage. All connectingelements such as bolts and union nuts must be tight.
