Sample 1.1 Connect to a Printer on the Network in Windows XP Leo: Tony, I've got a problem. Tony: What's the matter, Leo?

Tony: I have a solution. You can connect an external monitor to the video port on your laptop
and switch the display from the laptop's small LCD display to the larger monitor.

portable computer, the primary monitor is generally the LCD display. On a desktop

Leo: So DualView is available for all laptops?

Tony: I got a tutorial you want about how to work with Microsoft Office 2003.You can copy it from my portable hard disk.
Leo: It’s very kind of you, Tony, but my computer has only two USB ports---the mouse is
plugged into one and the keyboard is connected to the other. There is no more left.
Tony: Why not use a USB hub? Leo : USB hub? What’s that?
Tony: A USB hub is a device that increases the number of USB ports on a PC. It typically
consists of single upstream port(designed to connect directly to your computer or to another hub) and multiple downstream ports.USB hubs can be divided into self-powered hubs and bus-powered hubs.
Leo: Then which kind of hubs and bus-powered hubs.
Tony: It depends. A bus-powered hub draws all its power form the host computer’s USB port.
It does not need a separate power connection. Keyboards and mice usually use it. However, many devices, such as external hard disks, require more power, and will not work with this type of hub. In Such cases, a self-powered hub is needed.
Leo: I see what you mean. And do I need some driver to get the USB hub to work? Tony: No driver is required as long as your computer supports USB devices.
