一 指导思想
以新课程倡导的教学理念为指导，从学生的实际需求出发，以情景教学为主，各种教学活动为辅，激发学生学习英语的兴趣同时，着重培养学生创新精神和实践能力，为培养学生终身学习的愿望和能力打基础。
二 教材分析
1、注重对学生兴趣的培养
本教材在内容、形式、方法、插图等方面都以激发学生的学习动机和兴趣为宗旨。教学内容紧密联系学生实际生活，语言材料真实地道、活泼有趣。教学形式强调多样化。
2、强调语言的综合运用
六年级面临毕业考，所以本年级教材注重学生语言运用能力的培养，教材体现了把话题-功能-结构-任务结合起来的总思路，充分体现了交际教学思想。
3、注重对学生能力的培养
本教材在内容安排、活动设计和学习评价上都贯穿“学会学习”的主题，学生用书的设计十分注重培养学生自主学习和独立运用所学语言去做事情的能力。在期初时对学生进行48个音素的.教学，并让学生学会拼读的规则和方法。
4、充分考虑到学生的差异性
根据多元智能理论，学生天生具有个体差异性，而且学生在学习过程中也存在差异，这就要求教材与其他学科知识兼容并蓄，并要求教
材在本身的内容安排上具有一定的伸缩性，留出一定的弹性内容，使学生能够满足其个性发展的需求。
三．学生分析
大部分学生已经养成良好的学习习惯，包括听课，作业，订正，过关都能按照一定的方式有条不紊的进行。但同时，有个别学生的学习基础不好，加上学习习惯差，以致于学习成绩一直上不去。所以在今后的教学中，教师应该面向全体学生，以学生的发展为宗旨，始终把激发学生的学习兴趣放在首位，注意分层教学，引导学生端正学习态度，掌握良好的学习方法，培养学生良好的学习习惯。英语默写一块一直是两个班级学生的弱项，而想提高学习成绩，一定要保证学生的默写质量。在今后的教学中，可以对默写一块做一些强调，并且在提高学生的学习积极性中多增加一些鼓励。那些默写有困难的同学，也能慢慢的跟上。
四 教学目的和措施
1、以活动为课堂教学的主要形式，设计丰富多彩的教学活动，让学生在乐中学、学中用，从而保证学生英语学习的可持续性发展。
2、通过听、说、读、写、唱、游、演、画、做等形式，进行大量的语言操练和练习。
3、培养学生拼读音标的能力，确保学生自主学习的质量。
4、设计全面、高效的课外作业，培养学生良好的书写习惯，做到整洁、规范、正确地书写。
5.提高学生的知识储量，在学习新知时，适当复习一下以前学过的知识，加深印象。
6.加强对学习困难学生的辅导。
