When it comes to the choice of careers, there always exist constant disputes betweengenerations. Some take it for granted that it should be parents’ determination to settle the future oftheir kids. Those who insist on this opinion is due to their reliance on the experience of the formergeneration that can always avoid the youngsters from wandering back and force in their careerdevelopment.
Based on the traditional conception mentioned above, there also occurs another voice thatencourages the youths to design their career path by themselves. As the saying goes, “Interest isthe best teacher.” It is only the young people that know their own hobbies can adapt to theprospective positions.
Considering the arguments above, I would rather make the decision by myself in choosing ajob on the basis of parents’ suggestion. Only in this way can I find a job in a comprehensiveconsideration.
2010 To Work or Study Further
Nowadays, many college students have to choose either to work or to study further for a higherdegree after their graduation. For my part， I incline to find a job first when I graduate fromcollege.
In fact, I hold my view for several reasons. Firstly, it has been my dream since I was a little childthat I can live on my own and can even afford to support my whole family. With a job, I can befinancially independent as soon as possible. You can’t imagine how proud I will be when that daycomes! Secondly, it is a rather good opportunity to put myself through the mill. I can find my shortcomings as early as possible by throwingmyself into work. Therefore, work is also a process of self-study and self-improvement.
In short, I will go to find a job first after my graduation, not only to earn money but also to gainsome useful and indispensable experience from society.
