My sister and I wanted to have a surprise party for our dad's birthday.He didn't feel happy over the past few days，and we thought a party would help cheer him up (使他振奋)．We invited some of his good friends to our home.
My sister and I planned many parties before，so we had lots of party decorations—streamers (彩纸条)and balloons.
My dad's birthday was on Saturday. My parents went to visit my grandpa in the afternoon. Then we started to prepare for the party. My sister cooked well，so she was in charge of (负责) the food.
