引导学生用:It means---或It means we/you should/shouldn’t---来回答。

(2)通过Guessing game来练习It means we/you should/shouldn’t --- A: 教师画图“O”

问:What does this picture mean?

学生回答,如:It means the sun/the moon/a plate an orange/an eye/a tape---

B: 教师做停的动作问:What does this gesture mean?

学生回答:“It means stopping”。We shouldn’t do anything。C: 教师做表示安静的动作问:“What does it mean”? 教师引导学生用多种方式回答:“It means“be quiet”.It means you can’t speak loudly. It means we shouldn’t make noise. It means we should keep quiet. (设计意图:教师以生活常见的图、动作等引发学生的想象力,既激发了学生学习的热情,同时又巩固了新学的句型,并且滚动复习了以前学过的词汇。) 2. 教学Be quiet

由上面的Guessing game来引出Be quiet,指出相当于Keep quiet.

操练句型: What does it mean? It means ---

3. 出示其余标志,学生自学并讨论它的意思。 小组长汇报讨论结果,教师板书。 Signs What does it mean?

No littering It means we shouldn’t litter. No parking It means we shouldn’t park. Do not touch It means you shouldn’t touch.

No eating or drinking It means you shouldn’t eat or drink.

No smoking It means “No smoking”

介绍Jack,引导学生提问:Ask some questions about Jack. Who’s Jack? How old is he? What are his hobbies? What does Jack always do? What is Jack doing now? 教师版贴5个问题。

(2) 听录音,思考问题

要求学生静下心来仔细听,耐心听,并带着问题去听。 (设计意图:小学生英语听力的培养不是边看文字材料边听,因为这样会助长听觉对书目文字的依赖,也不符合听的真实性。而应该视听结合,利用实物、图片、教师的动作、表演等手段来让学生获取信息。只有这样,才有利于提高理解和强化刺激,加深记忆。) (3) 同桌讨论,解决问题

(4) 学生试着复述前言,向全班学生介绍Jack的信息 如:Jack is Ben’s cousin. He is only four years old. He likes asking questions and he always has a lot of questions. He is asking Ben some public signs in the park.

Step 4: Homework

1. Introduce the public signs to your parents. 2. Collect the information about some public signs. 3. Write about some public signs.
