2.技能目标

(1)能听懂有关人生理想的词汇及表达;

(2)能听懂有关未来计划的表达; (3)能进行有关人生的谈话; (4)能进行有关将来计划的讨论。 3.情感目标

通过对人生理想的讨论,让学生从小就树立自己的人生理想,并且现在就下决心,为理想而努力奋斗。使他们成为有理想、有抱负、有动力、健康成长的新一代青少年。 【教学重点】

1)关于“职业”的表达方式。

2)“be going to + V原”表计划、安排、打算将来要做的事情。 3)What, How引导的特殊疑问句。 【教学难点】

“be going to”表将来的用法。 【教学方法】

情景教学、任务型教学及多媒体辅助教学。 【教学过程】 Step 1) Greetings

T: Good afternoon, boys and girls! Ss: Good afternoon, teacher! T: How are you today?

Ss: I’m fine. Thank you. And you? T: I’m fine, too. Thanks. Step 2) Lead-in

1. At the beginning of our class, show students a flash about “About me”. Teacher

and students sing the song together. Then the teacher talks about his/her dream job.

Lyric of the song: What are you going to be? (Twice) I shall be a teacher (twice). That’s the life for me. T: Do you know me well? What do I do? Yeah, I’m a teacher. And I teach you English. So I’m an English teacher.)

T: Can you guess when I was young, what did I want to be?

(Let students guess what I wanted to be when I was young. Singer, player…) T: When I was young, I wanted to be a singer because I liked singing and dancing. And I think it’s interesting. And it makes me be famous in the world. When I was a middle school student, I liked English very much. At that time, I wanted to be an English teacher. To be an English teacher, I studied harder and harder. After high school, I went into a university to learn how to teach English. Four years ago, I came here to teach English. So I am an English teacher now.

T: You are middle school students now. Do you have a big dream? Do you want to be a teacher? What do you want to be in the future?

(Ss may say “No”. T says: I think being a teacher is great. I can talk with my students and make friends with them. I love my students very much and they love me too. I am so happy to be a teacher. And I love my job very much.) 2. Free-talk

Ask some students some questions and talk freely.

Question: How many jobs do you know? PK Group 1 Names of jobs: Group 2 policeman, policewoman, police officer, doctor, nurse, dentist, actor, actress, waiter, waitress, shop assistant, bank clerk, teacher, student, cook, artist, painter, writer, singer, runner/running star, movie star, reporter, farmer, worker, business man, driver, account, fashion designer, lawyer, manager, scientist, postman, violinist, pianist, player, tourist, tour guide, thief, host, hostess, dancer…. 2. Look and say about the pictures one by one. Then practice the target language.

Sentence Structures A: What are you going to be when you grow up? B: I am going to be a/an ……. A: How are you going to do that? B: I am going to ……. Teacher shows a picture about Yao Ming and asks students following questions: T: Who’s that man? Ss: He is Yao Ming. T: What does he do?

Ss: He is a basketball player.

T: Are you going to be a basketball player? Ss: No.

T: What are you going to be when you grow up?

Ss: I am going to be a writer. T: How are you going to do that?

Ss: I am going to read more books/write some stories. T: What else job are you going to be?

(教师更换其它图片:演员,电脑程序员,工程师,飞行员等教授生词、短语及操练句型。)

A: What are you going to be when you grow up? B: I am going to be an actor. A: How are you going to do that? B: I am going to take acting lessons.

(教师辅助学生读practice basketball every day/take acting lessons /study computer science/study math really hard。) 3. Section A-1a

Ask students to talk about the jobs in 1a. Do they think these jobs are interesting? Rank them 1-6. (1 is most interesting. 6 is least interesting.) _____computer programmer ______ basketball player ______ pilot _____ engineer ______ teacher ______ actor T: Which job do you think is the most interesting and which one is the least interesting. Number them [1-6].

S1: I think computer programmer is the most/least interesting job. 4. Section A-1b (Listening)

? Play the tape recording once. Ask students listen and match the items. ? Check the answers. 5. Section A-1c Pairwork.

Practice the conversation in the picture and make conversations about the other jobs.

Sample: A: What are you going to be when you grow up? B: I’m going to be a basketball player. A: How are you going to do that? B: I’m going to practice basketball every day. Ask students to look at the screen and talk about the pictures one by one.
